St. Peter’s College aims at pursuing academic excellence by providing value based quality education of the highest order to build up character and instil moral and spiritual values for attaining fullness of life.

St. Peter’s College affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University seeks to address the need of the hour by trying to mould world–class citizens with the highest intellectual acumen, emotional balance, spiritual strength and physical training. Inspired by the biblical proverb “The wise shall inherit glory” (Motto of the College – Prov.3:35) the College aims at imparting wisdom to the students enabling them to inherit glory in their lives. Named after St. Peter who holds the key to the gateway of Heaven the College strives to show students the way to knowledge and success.

In order to translate our vision into action we seek to give a liberal education based on essential Christian conviction. Such an education includes the imparting of sound learning, building of character and knowledge of God. The College aims at developing leadership of high calibre, and integrity. The academic aims of the College are to pursue knowledge with an insatiable thirst and to harness the energy of the youth for creative purposes. The institutional goals are translated into academic programmes by enabling the students to wage war against social evils and injustice, by promoting their inherent talents in painting, music, histrionics, film making and other forms of fine arts, by familiarizing the students with all cross-sections of the society with added emphasis on the marginalized, and by encouraging them in community oriented activities.

The College Emblem

Our College emblem is in the form of a triangle within a circle divided into three parts. The left side has a key symbolizing the key to knowledge. The right side has a burning traditional lamp which is the oriental counter part for the symbol of knowledge. The central part is occupied by a cross suggesting Christian value oriented education provided by the institution.
