The most sought-after aim of the world today
is achieving an economic growth fast enough to improve the
life and living condition of our teaming million. To cope
with the importance of growth UGC is providing handsome of
financial assistance to carry out research activities in the
colleges. Our college has started to build up a new culture
in research activities. Several faculty members are actively
involved in research. There are two minor projects from U.G.C.
with a total grant of Rs 89,000/-. About 200 projects works
were carried out by the students of this college under the
guidance of our faculty. Nearly 20 project proposal has been
submitted to UGC for their approval. The Projects
are:
1. ‘Root nodule development in Vigna sinensis in
relation to carbofuran biodegradation and a comparative
study on the efficiency of rhizobium and pseudomonas on
carbofuran biodegradation’-(U.G.C. grant-Rs. 49,000/-)
2. ‘Optical Solition Propagation through dispersion
decreasing fibres’. (U.G.C. grant-Rs. 40,000/-)
3. 'In-vitro propagation of Rauwolfia serpentine
Beth through somatic embyogenesis and bud proliferation
in explants sourced from mature plants' (UGC Grant - 60000/-).
4.Studies on Mycorrhizal technology in Zingiber officinale
Rosc to enhance essential oil and oleoresin content'.

5. Screening and Characterization of Thermostable
Siderophore Producing Pseudomonas Stains from Soil; Their
