The
Oratory Club of the College conducts classes regularly for
developing the public speaking skills of the students. The
club organises competitions and debates focusing on the
improvement of communicative ability. Every year we elect
best orator of the College by setting up competitions. An
inter collegiate two day residential workshop, dubbed as
‘Speech Craft” was organised as a joint venture
of the Oratory Club and the Rotary Club of Kolenchery. Nationally
renowned trainer Er. George John was the pilot faculty and
Mr. Jain Mathew, Co-faculty. 40 students from 10 Colleges
including Medical Colleges and Engineering Colleges from
Kerala and Tamilnadu participated. Dr. C. Radhakrishnan,
Principal, Medical College, Kolenchery inaugurated the function.
Certificates were given to the participants. Some of the
speakers from outside the College in the meetings of Oratory
Club were Prof. Baby John, Prof. Baby, M. Varghese, Prof
Josekutty Ozhukayil etc.. The Oratory Club joined hands
with The Rotary Club of Kelenchery in conducting a two day
residential programme on personality development and public
speaking, 'Speech Craft 2008' on 18th and 19th January 2008.
