2008-2009

Following the tradition set in the previous years weekly meetings were held in Room No.14  from 12.45-1.30 on every Wednesday. The major activity for the year the club conducted a survey entitled Book Lover's Quest 2009 on the reading habits of the students of the college. The survey report was released by the Principal at the valedictory function of the club. Shri. D.Sriman Namboothiri gave a talk on "Current Trends in Reading among Students'.

2007-2008

The activities of Book Lover's Club for the academic year 2007-'08 began with the formal inauguration on August 3, 2007 by Ms.Silvykutty ( Dept. of Malayalam, Govt College Manimalakknnu). The salient feature of the club was the presentation of a book b y a student on every Thursday, followed by discussion by the members. An exhibition on the brief biography of famous writers in English, Malayalam and Hindi was organised on October 10 & 11, 2007.The exhibition included over 500 charts. A study tour was conducted   to the museum of Kerala History at Edappilly, Kallil Temple and Cherai Beach on December3, 2007.

2006-2007

Book Lover’s Club alias ‘Vaksauhrudham’ is intended for the enrichment of creative reading of the students. The club meets on every Wednesday at 12.45 p.m. An exhibition of books, “ Bibliotheque-2006” was also arranged in connection with Onam celebrations. One of the members presents a book and a discussion follows. The prizes for the students, who have read the maximum number of books during the current academic year, were distributed in the valedictory meeting.
