'The Parent Teacher Association, St.Peter's College Kolenchery' is a very important supportive organisation of the College. The Association aims at all round welfare of the students of the College and supports the institution by helping to maintain good discipline and high academic standards. It extends financial assistance to all Departments for conducting State level or National level Seminars and Workshops. Students are encouraged to have good performance in the examinations by introducing scholarships and awards. The PTA also provides better amenities for the library and laboratories by contributing books, journals and laboratory equipment.

 

Aims and Objectives

 

  1. To foster and promote good relationship among the members of the teaching staff students and guardians of the students.

  2. To create among its members a keen interest for the smooth working and the progress of the College and for maintaining good discipline and high academic standards.

  3. To institute scholarships, prizes, medals etc., to benefit students showing a high proficiency in their studies.

  4. To provide sure amenities to the students of the College.

Memberships

 

  1. The parents/guardians of all the students on the rolls of the college during a year shall be eligible to be members of the Association.

  2. Every member shall pay an annual membership fee of Rs.30/-(Rs. Thirty only) to the association.

  3. When a student is removed form the rolls of the college, the parent/guardian of the student shall ipso factor cease to be a member of the Association.

  4. The Principal and the other members of the teaching staff be ipso facto be members of the association.

Administration

 

  1. The Administration of the Association shall vest in an Executive Committee, hereinafter referred to as the Committee, elected for the purpose.

  2. The Committee shall consist of :

  3. A President

  4. A Vice President

  5. A Secretary elected from among the members of the teaching staff, and

  6. Not more than 8 other members of which at least 4 shall represent the parents/guardians and 4 the teaching staff.

  7. The term of office of the committee shall be for a period of one year( the year for the purpose shall be the academic year).

  8. A committee once elected shall continue to hold office till a new committee assumes charge.
