'Justice delayed is justice denied'

A very responsible and women-friendly, women's Association ("UNARVU") is functioning in the College. Women students and lady teachers can enroll themselves as members of the forum and from among them, a commitee is elected every year to guide the programmes. Its mission is to generate awareness among students about the right & responsibilities of women in the society. It aims at a healthy and happy-campus where women are not denied of their rights. Keeping this in view, quite a good number of programmes have been arranged in the campus under its guidance.

During last academic year the Association invited Dr. Neena Joseph Director, Institute of Management in Government to deliver a talk on another relevant topic 'Empowerment of women', followed by a successful interactive session. Receiving abundant co-operation from the girl students the Association arranged an 'Onam fair'. Thus the College got a taste of the entrepreneurial skills of the girls. In order to make the girl students self reliant & independent the Association took initiative to start a two wheeler driving class. The response from the girls was mind-blowing. The Tailoring & Handicraft unit functioned in full swing in the last academic year. Many students have so far made use of this facility. A seminar on "Women in media" has been planned for the month of June. In addition to tailoring & driving classes, the Association also plans to conduct cooking classes for interested students.
