Erudite Lecture Series: North East India: Conflicts & Challenges
The Department of Political Science, St. Peter's College Kolenchery conducted an Erudite
Lecture on the topic North East India: Conflicts & Challenges, on 16th September 2020. The
speaker for the event was Dr. Salvin Paul, Assistant Professor, Sikkim Central University.
The talk was mainly aimed for undergraduate students of BA Political Science and also
students of Open Course. The lecture delved upon topics like special status in the
constitution, ethnicity & nationalism, developmental dilemmas of the northeast among others.
The lecture was exhaustive in its scope and breadth. It started at 8. 30 am and went on till
10.30 am. The last 45 minutes were dedicated for Q&A session and it was marked by active
participation of the students.
