ORIENTATION SESSION ON INNOVATIVE STRATEGIES FOR CONTROLLING ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION

Department of Chemistry & IP Cell, St. Peter’s College  Kolenchery in association with Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre and Institution’s Innovation Council had organized an orientation session on ”Innovative Strategies for controlling Environmental Pollution” on Tuesday, 20 April 2021 at 2:00 pm. The resource person was Dr. Rani Joseph (Professor (Retd), Dept of PS and RT, CUSAT, Chairperson of Indian Rubber Institute (Kerala Branch) & TTRCMD, ChemieCorp Polymer solutions, Rubber Park). Latest developments in retreading process and the ways to create a sustainable journey of retreading business were discussed during the session. Components of tyre, types in retreading process and the steps of retreading process including inspection, buffing, skiving, filling the injury, cementing, preparing the tread, building etc. were also mentioned by the resource person. The high demand for entrepreneurial innovative ideas especially in two-wheeler industries were pointed out during the webinar.
