WEBINAR ON INNOVATION RESEARCH ON QUANTUM DOT BASED FLUORESCENT CHEMICAL SENSORS

The PG Department of Chemistry (Self-Finance) of St. Peter’s College, Kolenchery in association with Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre and Institution’s Innovation Council organized a webinar on “Innovation Research on Quantum Dot Based Fluorescent Chemical Sensors” on 12th May 2021 at 11:00 a.m. The resource person for the session was Dr. Ammu Rosin Jose, Asst. Professor, Department of Chemistry, Sacred Heart College, Thevara, Kochi. The speaker talked about Quantum Dots and their properties, principles and applications of bio-sensors and different types of fluorescent Quantum Dot based sensors. Role of bio-sensors in innovative entrepreneurship was the main theme of the session. Importance of fluorescent chemical sensors in the upcoming technological world was also discussed. The webinar was coordinated by Smt. Rekha S Nair, Head, PG Dept. of Chemistry and Smt. Reshma Prakash, Asst. Professor in unison with Dr. Sona S Dev, SPC-IEDC Nodal Officer and Dr. Renu Susan Samuel, SPC-IEDC Asst. Nodal Officer.
