Valedictory function of Zoology Association & Invited talk

The activities of the Association for the academic year, 2021-2022 was officially concluded by a valedictory ceremony organized on 31.03.2022. The chief guest of the event was Dr. Kiran Kumar, Director, Research World, Centre of Excellence in Biology. The official meeting was chaired by Dr Susha TK, HOD, Department of Zoology. Principal, Dr. Shaju Varghese felicitated the event with his words of appreciation to the association members. The annual hand written magazine authored and prepared by the students of Zoology- “Zoospectrum” was jointly released by Dr. Kiran Kumar and Dr. Shaju Varghese. A booklet on traditional knowledge about biopesticides prepared by the students of third Degree Zoology -“Nattarivukal’ was also released during this ceremony.

Ms Emilo Mary Francis presented the annual report of the Zoology Association from June 2021 to March 2022. Students who were in the executive and editorial board of the association were congratulated and were awarded certificates.

Dr. Kiran delivered a lecture on “Courses and Career Opportunities in Biology after Graduation” for the students from III DC Zoology. The lecture was so comprehensive that it covered all courses, entrances and institutions one could opt after graduation in Zoology.

As the last ceremony of this association’s academic year, the event turned quite emotional with everyone acknowledging one another, respecting and appreciating all hard work and selfless cooperation of every single member of the Zoology family.
